Happy Halloween!
Ahhh how I miss the days when my son was younger and we really got into the spirit of Halloween. We used to decorate the yard like crazy and had such fun with him dressing up and going through the neighborhood trick-or-treating. I'm going to show you a couple of old layouts. They aren't my best ones, but I love the pictures and memories that go with them. That's what scrapping is all about. Right?

In response to Jen's question about camera and lens. We are using a Canon 20D with a Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens. We had a regular Canon 70-200mm lens, but it just wasn't doing the job for us. Lighting is notoriously bad in rinks and you really need a good professional lens to get good action shots. I can tell you that hubby is now shooting between 200-300 pictures per game and I throw away very few due to blur. I am running them through a noise filter because shooting at a high ISO causes more noise than I like to see. I found a great program that I can batch them through. I have also fallen in love with Adobe Lightroom for editing the pictures. I can run the entire batch through simple white balance edits, etc. and it saves me a ton of time instead of editing one by one in Photoshop. I batch process through Noiseware first, then Lightroom. After that I can do any individual edits on ones that need that extra touch. That's really only for ones that I print or do layouts with though. After I've batch processed, I export out to e-mail size prints and upload to the team's website. Our team loves that they have their own photographer!
I'm pretty organized with the photos broken down into folders by game. However, I am realizing that I have a hard time sorting through sometimes when looking for pictures of Ollie. I think I'm going to have to create a sub-folder under each game and copy only the pictures that he is in to the sub-folder so that they are easier for me to find when scrapping. Sounds like a lot of work up front, but easy once I start doing it from here forward. Right?

Tuesday morning ...
and I'm running behind per normal! LOL Couldn't get myself going good this morning, seem to be dragging about 10 steps behind. I really need to take a day off and organize, clean house and just give myself a mental break. I think they call those mental health days. Can anyone tell me how to sign up for one... or two... maybe three ..... hehe

Just another Manic Monday ....
wish it was a fun day .....
This Thursday will be my Box of Dreams Crop. We have a lot of fun at the crops and then there is a series of challenges for the month which earn you pieces of a fun kit. Raylene from my Dream Team created a beautiful Brown Paper Christmas kit for this month's challenges. We are going to be focusing on holiday cards and there will be some great templates available! Don't miss out. Thursday night, 9:00 p.m. EST .... hope I'll see you there!
Peggy's Rose: This was a custom kit created for a lady that won a contest I ran. She wanted something for her Dad who loved the lavendar rose. This was a labor of love because it also reminds me very much of my own grandmother who loves roses. Her favorite color is pink and the main rose in this kit (a photo from my own garden) will also be featured in a wedding kit that I'm working on for her. Since purple is my favorite color, I really love this kit for me too! :)

Spookies and Gremlins... OH MY!
Yup, me again....
Apparently the spookies and gremlins invaded my download link and was giving out blank files. The link is good now so grab it while you can. We will leave it active longer as a result of the spookables....
Sorry they misbehaved! :)

I'm back ...
Ok, so it's much later afternoon than I anticipated! Game was a win! They won 3-0. Unfortunately the other team got physical and out of hand after we scored the first goal. There were tons of penalties. I'm the team manager and was doing the score sheet. I thought I was going to need a second score sheet and second pen I was writing so much and so fast. Good news is that nobody was injured, we walked away with a win and our penalties weren't too outrageous. The worst was on of our kids for running his mouth at the ref after a call. The other team had 16 penalties so their coach will be suspended for the next game. 15 penalties by one team in a game is an automatic suspension of the coach for 1 game. So that was hockey today. Right now while I'm typing, I'm dowloading 500+ pictures from yesterdays' and todays' games. Hubby takes tons of pictures for us. I process, edit and put them up on our team's website by game.
Of course after the game, the almost 15 year old NEEDED food. Yes, NEEDED... seems he's at that stage of eating a lot. He's a beanpole though, I have no idea where he's putting it. Then, there were errands and then we were all exhausted. I had to catch a nap while I could, there are precious few chances in our schedule.
This gives you a little insight into me.... I'm a dedicated hockey mom and I love it! Hockey is my first love as a sport anyhow, so it's like a special little bonus to me that my own son plays. I also work 30+ hours a week as an office manager.
You'll learn more about my craziness as the week goes on I'm sure. You'll find out that I love designing and even though it's hard to fit in my crazy life... it's a neccesity to keep me sane! LOL
So, how did everyone like our Fall-O-Ween festivities? I think it was a great week and so much fun to see everyone having a good time. The management here at TSG is the best and we have such a great group of team members.
Feel free to ask me questions this week, I'd like to get a glimpse of what interests our members. I'm going to show you some of my different designs each day and tell you what they meant to me when designing them. I will tell you I love doing custom kits and might just have a contest for one up my sleeve very soon.
Here's a peek at three of my fall kits in the store:
Leaf Into Fall: This kit was inspired by pumpkin doodles that my dear friend Diann (she's my first original Dream Team member and so talented!) did. I started with a color palette inspired by one of my favorite times of year and Leaf Into Fall was born. I love the elements with the burlap textures and warm copper pieces.
Little Bit O' Fall: This kit was started after Leaf Into Fall and was just an extension of the elements and papers that I loved making. I made it as a Lil' Bud kit as part of my first grab bag at TSG.
Dream Your Own Monogram for Fall: I had a customer request a monogram kit a while back. She wanted something more than an alpha, letters large enough she could layer elements and use as a monogram. The fall one uses my fall palette and coordinates with both fall kits. I love the stitched felt monogram letters. This also coordinates with my Orchard Dreams kit that I'm reworking and getting ready for the store very soon.
Now for your patience with me rambling on and on.... here is gift for you. Please note the link will be available until tomorrow night since I'm posting this so late.
Sorry, this link has expired.
See you in the morning ....Posted by Georgia Oliver, Dreams Ink! Digital Designs at 6:40 PM 6 comments
Good morning!
Hi everyone, I am your guest blogger for the week. My name is Georgia Oliver and you see me roaming the forums under DreamsNJ. I can't wait to jump in here and play this week. I've got some fun spooky goodies this week since it's Halloween week. I have to tell you that I'm having a hard time getting in the mood for it this year. It just hasn't been too fall like around here in Northern NJ. It's chilly this morning so maybe fall is finally going to arrive.
I can't stay and chat this morning because my son (everyone calls him Ollie) has a hockey game. So, I'll be checking in later this afternoon with an update, a little more about me and some goodies for you.
Stay tuned .....

Last Day...
This is my last day as being guest blogger and the last day of Fall-O-Ween but it's not the last of all the fun at TSG! There are games to be played, challenges to be met and crops to attend every week! The more you get out and about at TSG the more friends you are going to make and the more you are going to want to get out and about!
I must take a moment to thank our Team for the wonderful job they have done this week. Cheryl and I told them when Fall-O-Ween was going to be and they took it from there.
And what about the Falloween Mega Kit, is this kit the greatest or what! Thanks to the TSG Design Team for creating such a beautiful kit to give to our members.
I also want to thank Keli Carter for all the work she put into Fall-O-Ween behind the scenes. We wouldn't have been able to pull this off without Keli!
Lastly I want to thank YOU for your support of TSG and it's designers! You are the reason I have a site to come to every morning!
We have two great events tonight as Fall-O-Ween winds down. The ACDSee Chat hosted by DigiScrapInfo is at 8pm ET and our Fall-O-Ween Costume Party is at 10pm ET. There are lots of nice prizes that will be given away at each events. And don't forget to get your last piece of the Winters Night Kit by Kristmess and find Baby Boo for one last time.
This might be the end of Fall-O-Ween for this year but....we have Digital Scrapbooking Day coming next Saturday, November 3rd. Keep an eye on the forum for the great events we have planned for you

A Tattoo!!!!!
I'm fixing dinner, my daughter had to stop at Wal-Mart after work, so Bailey and Zack are still here and running around trying to scare each other. My husband is late coming in from work and my baby boy (ok he's 22) comes in and tells me that he and his girlfriend are buying each other tattoo's for Christmas. You know I don't mind tattoo's on people, they don't bother me at all but this is my little boy. What if he gets something he will regret later on, what if he gets something totally stupid? I spent almost 7 months carrying him and another couple of months sitting in a NICU watching every breath he took. Now I have to keep my mouth shut and let him mark up his perfectly good body. I take a deep breath, tell Bailey to leave her brother alone, then tell my son, that's nice...what are you going to get? I learned a long time ago if I don't make a big deal out of something that he will usually do the right thing. Now I'll be praying from now to Christmas that he doesn't come home with I LOVE MOM on his arm.
Tonight at 8pm EST is the Board Book Cratfy Crop hosted by Cheryl, then the Software Tips & Tricks Chat hosted by Tracy & Michelle at 10pm EST. And of course pieces of the Falloween Mega Kit will be given out at both chats.
Today's blog gift is another Falloween SticKit created by the TSG Creative Team.

Old Hag...
Someone asked me in a crop the other day if I was a TSG Old Hag. My reply... Oh Yeah! I'm proud to be a TSG Old Hag. Being an Old Hag means I know how to laugh at myself when I make stupid mistakes. It means I know how to have fun and I know not to take life too seriously. Being an Old Hag means that I know my age is just a number, no matter what that number is. It means that I have friends that accept me for who I am. So the next time someone calls you an Old Hag, stand up and say YES and I'm proud of it!
There's still a lot going on in Fabulous Fall-O-Ween Festival. There is a new pumpkin in the Giant Pumpkin Game. Baby Boo is still hiding goodies in the store and Candy Corn is turning up all over the Forum. You can even still upload your Pumpkin Carving layout. And don't forget the huge SALE going on in the TSG Store.
We also have 3 crops going on today! The Board Book Crafty Crop hosted by Cheryl is at 2pm EST, the Fractured Phrase Game at 8pm EST hosted by Lynn and Dyanna and the Paper Patch Crop at 9pm EST hosted by Lynn.
Today's free gift is a SticKit created by the TSG Creative Team using the November Mega Kit "Falloween".

Blessings....
Not much going on in my house, yesterday was just a normal day. Not many exciting things go on during the week, my husband goes to work, I work around TSG, Bailey and Zack come here when they get out of school, just the same old thing every weekday. I did attend two great crops at TSG yesterday, Kat and Anne-Katrine's Pumpkin Spice Crop and Tina's Harvest of Blessings Crop. In the Harvest of Blessings Crop everyone was listing the ways they were blessed in their lives and it got me to thinking. I'm blessed in my everyday normal life. My husband has a job to go to everyday, I have a great site to spend my time, Bailey and Zack have a great school to attend everyday and I'm blessed just to have the opportunity to be able to watch them after school everyday, and the list goes on and on. My everyday normal life is FULL of blessings!
Today at 8pm EST is the SticKit It To Me Crop hosted by Lynn and Dyanna, plus the Fun With DeDe Crop at 10pm EST. Today is the deadline for the Best Dressed Avatar Contest, be sure and get your avatar loaded and posted in the forum by Midnight tonight. And have you checked out the Pumpkin Carving Contest, be sure to get your layouts up so people can start posting comments on them.
Today's free gift is a SticKit created by JBurkhart using the Falloween Mega Kit. Be sure to attend our Fall-O-Ween Crops to get all the pieces of this great Mega Kit.

Lazy Day...
I awoke yesterday morning to rain and cold weather. Well cold for East Texas anyway. It was the kind of day you just want to snuggle up in a blanket and read a book or take a nap but I had a busy day ahead.
My first Kooky Card Crop was at Noon and I had a ton of other things to do around the site. The Kooky Card Crop went great, I gave out pieces to the November Mega Kit "Falloween" plus my card template and two lucky people won kits from the TSG Store.
After my crop I just couldn't resist the temptation. I snuggled up in a blanket and took a nice relaxing nap. Ok, so I slept for about 4 hours but it was still just a nap.
Speaking of being tempted, have you been to the TSG Store and checked out all the kits that are 50% off? Now is the time to stock up on great kits for those long winter days ahead.
Today at 2pm EST Kat and Anne-Katrine will be hosting the Pumpkin Spice Crop. Be sure to attend to receive pieces of the Falloween Mega Kit and compete to win a prize.
Here's today's gift, it's another Winters Night SticKit created by PammyJ using the Winters Night Kit by Kristmess.

What a day....
After being up way too late Saturday night James woke me up at 7:30 Sunday morning so I'd have plenty of time to wake up and get ready for Bailey's soccer tournament. It only takes me a few minutes to get ready but it takes awhile for me to get woke up.
Bailey played great as usual and her team took 3rd place in the tournament. Her games were over just in time for us to rush home to catch the Cowboy's play. While James got to relax in his recliner watching the game with my son-in-law, my daughter Rachel and I made enchiladas. Why I would plan a meal where I would be on my feet for a long time is beyond me but I did.
Now our family dinners are legendary! With 5 grandkids ages 10 to 2 you can always count on tears, yelling, screaming, a couple of fights, and at least 4 spilled drinks, not to mention Eli pouring dry dog food into the dogs water when no one is looking then playing in it. Now do you think any of this has any effect on the two men watching football? Of course not, you'd would think with 5 grandkids, 4 of them being boys that the yelling, screaming and fighting would be coming from them. Oh no!!! It's the two grown boys watching football!
Is everyone enjoying the Fall-O-Ween Festival? If you haven't had a chance to check out everything we have going on cruise on over the the Forum and join in on the fun!
Today is my Kookie Card Crop at Noon EST and a repeat at 10pm EST. Also Cheryl is hosting a repeat of her Pabric Nite Light Crop at 2pm EST. Remember pieces of the November Mega Kit "Falloween" will be given away at every crop this week!
Please enjoy this 12 x 12 SticKit created by PammyJ using the Winters Night Kit by Kristmess.

Busy Week Ahead.....
Hey Y'all,
My name is Robin and I am one of the Old Hags here at TSG. My husband James and I have been married for 28 years and have 2 grown daughters and 1 son who is 22 and will be growing up soon, I hope. We have 4 grandsons, Zack, Taylor, Matthew and Elijah and 1 granddaughter Bailey.
As you can imagine our life is full of babysitting, going to baseball and soccer games and just hanging out with our kids and grandkids. My son and one of my daughters live within shouting distance and my other daughter lives about 30 minutes away.
We spent yesterday watching Bailey play in a Soccer Tournament. Bailey plays Sweeper and Forward and really enjoys the game.
All of us attend the kids games when we can. Elijah especially enjoyed today's game, not to mention the funnel cakes!
More on my family in the days to come. Right now I need to remind you that our Fabulous Fall-O-Ween Festival starts today.
We have a week of fun and exciting events planned for you. In the forum you can Hunt for Candy Corn, play the Giant Pumpkin Game, compete in the Best Dressed Avatar Contest and the Pumpkin Carving Contest. In the TSG Store you can hunt for Baby Boo or browse through our many kits that are 50% off for the week.
We also have a ton of crops for you to attend this week. Tonight is the Scrap your Scraps Crop at 8pm EST hosted by Michelle and the Pabric Nite Light Craft Crop at 10pm hosted by Cheryl.
This week we will be giving away pieces of our November Mega Kit "Falloween" in every crop, plus some really great prizes. To see everything we have going on visit the Fabulous Fall-O-Ween Forum.
Now for a little something, something from me. Ok, not made by me but I'm the one giving it out. This is 2 Brag Book SticKits created by PammyJ using the Winters Night Kit by Krismess.

Sad to go......
Happy Saturday evening!
I apologize for being late today but I needed to sleep.
I got a bit of pampering today as I shopped (for me) and got my nails done!
Tonight, hubby and I have a date...and then tomorrow starts my 16 days straight of work.
Halloween is coming up real quick and tomorrow, the kids get their costumes. Emily wants to be a devil princess and Greg wants to be Dracula...with fangs! Matthew isn't dressing up, I don't think...he's 13.
The fun thing is we are in a huge neighborhood with tons of kids so my kids will be able to really "trick-or-treat" this year!
Well, this week for me is coming to an end.
In 2 hours is our amazing Charity Crop! jen posted below me all the details!
It is also time for the last freebie in my Honeybee add-on kit!
Thanks for spending the week with me!!

Dreary, Rainy Day...bummer!
Well, New England weather struck again and brought a dreary, rainy day....which meant no bike. Guess it wasn't meant to be...today atleast.
So I spent a lazy morning hanging out with my friend and then curled up with Detective Alex Cross from the James Patterson novel series.
I am really short of things to blog about today so I thought I would revisit a post earlier this week.
Tomorrow is a VERY important crop here at TSG. It is your chance to grab a gorgeous kit and stickits AND help women all over the world.
Don't miss out on your chance to get this OUTSTANDING kit!!!

I promise to wear a helmet....
Good Morning!
It's Thursday...I have to keep reminding myself that, as working overnights sometimes causes you to lose track of what day it is :)
Greg went back to school this morning and my house is (somewhat) quiet....I'm finding myself flipping thru music stations on Comcast to fill the void of him not being home.
I am also trying to get thru this day as quickly as possible.....tomorrow is a big day for me and I am overly excited.
We have a friend who owns a motorcycle....a 2007 Harley Davidson Soft tail, to be exact...BEAUTIFUL bike!!! I have never been on a motorcycle but have always wanted to ride on one, just once....it's on my wishlist along with hangliding over the grand canyon, jumping out of a plane and scuba diving.....yes, I am a bit daring at times.
Well, tomorrow, I get to ride...and I am nervous but excited at the same time. It was a huge decision I have been volleying back and forth on for months. All the "what-ifs" going thru my head...what if I fall off...what if we crash...what if I really like it and want to go buy a Harley...okay, maybe not the last one, although my husband probably wouldn't object, LOL.
So...tomorrow, my post may be late (think 2-ish), but I promise to tell you all about it....and yes, I promise to wear my helmet!!
Right now, though, I have to go catch some zzzz's before it's time to get the kids at school....so I will leave you with blog freebie # 5 from my Honeybee Add-on kit!

I finally created a layout!!
Wow....Wednesday already!
This week is going fast and I'm sad it's almost over!
Last night I got a break...sort of. I had taken Greg to the Express Care at the hospital because his wheezing was not subsiding despite the nebulizer treatments.
We were there almost 6 hrs (so much for Express care) and two chest x-rays later, they decided he "seems" to have a mild case of Bronchitis...so now we have antibiotics added to the treatments, BUT he can return to school tomorrow.
Being up 30+ hrs, I called the week-end overnight manager and begged him to cover my shift. He, luckily, said yes...so I got to sleep...for a bit. I woke up at midnight remembering he didn't know how to perform a certain inventory task that needed to be done every Tuesday night....so I hopped in the car, stopped at Dunkin and went into work for 2 hrs to show him how to count the inventory.
Back home at 3 AM, I couldn't get back to sleep....so I started playing with some pictures and ended up creating a layout with my new Honeybee kit.
It has been a while since I had time to do a layout. I have still not unpacked my house (we moved in 2 months ago)...I haven't had time to paint the walls (they are an ugly shade of blue/green)....I can't even find my shoes (I gave up and bought a new pair)....so for me to sit an do a layout was a rarity....but it was fun!
My Dad and his wife came for a visit in September....excited that we moved just 15 minutes from him. He spent the day surveying the yard (he loves gardening)...pulled out a maple tree that the squirrels helped plant in between my azalea bush....and then he found the kids' bubbles. He loves bubbles..always has....
This layout was made with my new Honeybee kit...25% off for one more day!!
So...now that you sat thru my morning ramblings....I think you deserve another piece to the Honeybee Add-on kit!!

Not until you're 25...and have a job!
LOL...yes, Jen, you can hijack the blog!!
Ladies, the October Charity kit is awesome and HUGE! Please scroll down and read Jen's blog entry for the details! You do NOT want to miss this one!!
Having a daughter was a blessing! I always wanted a little girl and Emily arrived at a time in my and my husband's life where we needed a bit of good news....but little girls grow up...too fast!
Emily turned nine in June, which is a milestone for her. She is missing the chemical in her brain that tells her thyroid to produce hormones...so she takes synthetic hormones but they tell me her brain and bones can stop growing at any time. Well, she is smart as a whip and growing on target! She is also noticing boys. She has a little friend from school that she has been exchanging phone calls with. We only have one phone in the house and it's not cordless...so if she wants to talk, she has to stand in the kitchen. Yesterday, she was getting aggrivated with standing and says..."oh my goodness...Mom...when can I get a cell phone! I'm tired of standing and I want some privacy!"...(she's 9)...my husband shouts back from the living room "Not until you're 25 and have a job"...she answers "OMG!"....
She's 9! (I know, I already said that!)
Man, I wish she still liked the Teletubbies and Sesame Street!
So, today is Tuesday....and that means new kits are in the store....which means my Honeybee kit has arrived!! Have you been picking up the pieces to the free add on?
Have a look at Honeybee here: http://scrappinggarden.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1509
and grab it while it's on sale for 25% off!!
Are you ready for free piece # 3?????

Happy Halloween?
Happy Monday!
It's noon...I'm supposed to be sleeping, but I'm up because Greg is home from school.
He's wheezing but doesn't have asthma....so he's on the nebulizer for a couple days.
Greg is my youngest and most impressionable. He idolizes his big brother in every way.
Matthew, my oldest, is discovering the phases of teenage-hood. He plays guitar, is in the school's Jazz band but also has a very expressive punky-gothic side. He dresses in black, has a 4 inch mohawk and paints his nails on occasion...oh, and uses more black eyeliner than I do.
So....should I have been surprised when after waking up from an afternoon nap last week I found Greg jamming with Matt in the basement? Nope....what shocked me was how Greg looked.....luckily, he only wants to be Matthew for Halloween!!
With that said.....you know these will be scrapped soon....maybe even with this month's Daily Download kit....which, is mine! have you been downloading your pieces and uploading your layouts? If not, it's not too late! Just click HERE to visit the Daily Download on TSG!!
And just for reading and sharing in my heart attack....grab piece # 2 of the Honeybee add-on!

Good morning & welcome!!
Happy Sunday morning!
My name is Pamela Dempsey and I will be your guest blogger for the week!
I live in the New England state of Massachusetts on the East Coast of the United States.
I am married with 3 children, Gregory (8), Emily (9) and Matthew (13).
You probably know all this if you read the TSG Newsletter for October, as I am the guest designer this month!
So....what is a typical Sunday like for me? LOL...nothing but ordinary!!
Matthew is still sleeping at 11:18 in the morning, Emily is lying on her belly begging me to boil eggs so she can color them with a kit she bought at her school yard sale last week and Greg...is being waaay to quiet for Greg! (gotta go check on him)
Today I have to flip my schedule back to my overnight schedule. I work overnight from Monday thru Thursday nights and try to live "normal" hours on the weekends to be with the kids...so Sundays, I stay up all day and all night and sleep when the kids go back to school on Mondays.
This means, my TSG kits are usually born Sunday nights...when the house is quiet and my weekend experiences get my creative juices flowing!
That leads us to this Tuesday's kit.....Honeybee!!
It's the fall...things are getting cool here and there is really no reason to be inspired by bees, right? Wrong!
I went shopping at Walmart for some essentials on Saturday. I bought this new citrus-coconut lotion from my work and decided to wear it on Saturday....mind you, this was put on almost 6 hrs before I went shopping! Well, all of a sudden, I hear buzzing around my head....shoo fly! shoo! But it wasn't a fly....a bee landed on my shoulder. I moved to try to get it to fly away...nope! It repositioned itself...down my shirt! So now, I am shaking my shirt, dancing in the aisle, petrified of getting stung and this employee (male) asks me if I'm okay.....I probably look like a nut, but he was being sincere! I told him a bee just flew down my shirt. He stated it must like my perfume....I said I wasn't wearing any (at this point I forgot I put on the scented lotion)...so he states back that I must be naturally sweet....great! I have a bee down my shirt and I get hit on! LOL
Well, the bee finally exited my shirt and I quickly ran to another aisle...luckily Mr. Bee didn't follow.
So...with the story in mind....I introduce to you, Honeybee....my new kit to be released this Tuesday! Best part is, you will be recieving add-on pieces to the kit all week!!

Happy Saturday!!
Well, this is my last day for guest blogger. I have to say that as I began this week, I had to really think on what I was going to say to everyone. As the days moved forward, it became easier and easier. So I'm going to miss chatting with everyone. BUT, I'll be back I'm sure!

PLUS, you can head on over to my BLOG to pick up your Barren Branches SticKit.
I hope you enjoyed this week's blog as much as I did posting to it. But never fear........................... I'll be back (in my best Arnold Schwarzenegger voice).

I finished my November Mega Kit submission this morning............what a GORGEOUS kit it's turning out to be! The TSG Design Team is AWESOME!
Today, I'll be preparing for the NEW "DID SOMEONE SAY D-I-E-T?" Chat TONIGHT at 10PM ET in the chatroom!! I'm going to try a new recipe today and I'll let you know how it
turned out in the chat tonight! If it goes really well, I'll post our first recipe submission.
I'll also be putting the finishing touches on my Board Book for my Fall-o-ween Craft chat,
one you DON'T want to miss!!
I'm keeping it short today as you can see I'm going to be VERY busy today. So much to do and so little time! But don't forget to download your coordinating piece to my "Barren Branches" kit HERE before you go. Enjoy!! (Sorry, this link has expired.)
I'll be leaving yesterday's piece active as well due to the fact that I was so very late yesterday.
And tomorrow is my last day to Blog with ya'll. So.......until then,

Happy Thursday!!
I know, I know, I'm late!! You HAVE to know that you're dealing with one of TSG's Old Hags and that's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it!
First of all, update on Boo............he's poo.............ummm, well, let's just say everything is alot better now. The Colace seemed to do the trick.
I'll tell you why I'm so late posting today. Bottom line is, I forgot, BUT the REASON I forgot is because I've been working on my Falloween Crop project............I'm making a Star-shaped Board Book and I was so intent on it and having so much fun with it that I totally forgot to BLOG!!! And mind you, I've got post-it notes all over my monitor, 2 day planner calendars, a reminder service on my Outlook, and NONE of it keeps me organized!!
I bet Jen, our Blog administrator, has just about pulled all her hair out by now. I haven't checked my e-mail to see if there's a threatening one in there somewhere. And my mind's picture of Jen bald is getting the best of me!!
Okay, okay, enough of that <------shaking head wildly to erase image............let's get down to some serious business today. I want to remind you again of our Fabulous Falloween event approaching quickly and happening from October 21st through the 27th.
One of the chats that I'll be holding is a "Board Book Crafty Crop". Shown below is one of the pages that is going into my board book. Join me for this chat on October 25th at 2PM ET and/or October 26th at 8PM ET for lots of fun and information about decorating these fabulous, fun and FAST board books. Talk about completing an album in no time! I can't WAIT to start another shape!!
I'll be giving away 1 board book at each chat as well as some other stuff too!!
You can get all the information about this crop HERE in the Forum.
Check out all the other crops listed there too!! There will be tons of fun that week, as well as lots of free stuff and some truly GREAT prizes will be given away too. Stay tuned to the BLOG, the TSG Yahoo Group for all the ads to the crops, keep an eye on the Calendar in the Forum, and all the new posts in the Forum as well so you don't miss one single thing! It'll be a Falloween to remember!!
Here's my board book page. My album is named "My Football Stars". My grandson, Caleb, is 9. He played football for the first time this year and I got to see him play in August. I'm also very proud of my
son for helping coach these little fellas. He's so patient with them but teaches them at the same time.
I'm using the C&T Star-shaped Board Book
along with Tracy Beck's football kits (available in the Clearance Patch this month!!)
You can see the line of C&T Board Books that we carry in the STORE. Plus I've got even more shapes to add in the coming week!!
I hope you'll join me and learn just HOW much fun and how FAST these little albums are to make!!
NOW........onto today's coordinating piece to
my "Barren Branches" kit. You can download today's piece HERE. (Sorry, this link has expired.) I will post again in the morning, leaving this piece and tomorrow's piece active until Saturday morning, when I'll be making my last entry for the week and HOPEFULLY be right on schedule so as not to interfere with next week's guest blogger here at TSG!!
Until tomorrow,
HUGS

Happy Wednesday!
Good afternoon everyone! I've had my nap after working lastnight and feel great! Especially because now I have 3 whole days off! That's what I LOVE about 12 hour shifts.
BUT, I have something very important to take care of before I get to play. A little background.............my husband and I have 2 furbabies, Boo and Boss. Some of you may have seen layouts with them in the gallery. They're our "boys". Our kids are all grown and have flown the nest, so our furbabes are our kids now. LOL And I KNOW most of you understand that!
Anyway, Boo began acting strange early yesterday and it seems he can't move his bowels. I know, I know, probably TMI!!! Our vet is out this week so we called the emergency vet. She told us to give him Colace, 50mg, 1 yesterday afternoon and 1 again this morning, which we did. So far no results although he's not whining anymore but we can tell that there's still something not right. He's not an old dog either, so it's really got me worried. They're not allowed out to run to where he could've eaten something bad for him. He eats the same things as Boss, so it's got me stumped!!
I'm going to call a vet as soon as I BLOG here and will have to keep ya'll posted.
I'd just like to mention a couple things today. One is our Clearance Patch. Every month, we renew this category with kits that are older and that the designers no longer want in the store.
This is a great place to catch some GREAT bargains as most of these fine kits are only priced at $2. What a steal!!
And don't forget to catch our Store Newsletter every Tuesday and Friday. All our kits here are at introductory prices during those times. If you're logged into the Store, you can subscribe to the newsletter there OR if you're not a member of TSG's Yahoo Group, you can join and receive all the latest news there. We periodically send gifts through the group too!!
Now......on with the show! Here's your next coordinating piece to the "Barren Branches" kit.
You can purchase this kit HERE in the store. You can snag your free piece HERE. Sorry, this link has expired.
Until tomorrow,
HUGS

Happy Tuesday!
I realize that Tuesday is winding down for some of you. I intended on posting this morning when I got home from work but naturally, things don't always work out the way we have them planned.
It was an extra busy night and I just didn't have it in me to handle this when I got home.
We had a good time at the Easy as 1,2,3 Crop on Monday. You can still participate if you didn't get a chance to join us. Just see the link to the Forum in my previous post. All the instructions and information is there.
I have posted a new thread about a brand new exciting chat called "Did Someone Say D-I-E-T?" This is one near and dear to me in many ways. There are absolutely no requirements, only that you'd like to have some support in your quest to lose weight. You can read all about it HERE in the Forum and I welcome you all this coming Friday night at 10PM ET in the chatroom so we can begin sharing our goals, plans, ideas, whatever we need to do to beat this thing called "extra weight". Let's get healthy together!!
I'll move right along to what you've been waiting for and that's yet another coordinating piece to the Barren Branches kit. You can download today's piece HERE. Enjoy!! Sorry, this link has expired.
Until Wednesday,
HUGS

Happy Monday!!
Hi everybody and welcome to my Day 2 of blogging -
I hope you all enjoyed your Sunday. How many of you watched Football? How many of you watched Nascar? How many of you cleaned your house? Me Me!! Oh my gosh, I'm so so SO far behind with my housework. Before I posted to the blog lastnight, I started in the family room in the basement. I've dusted, swept, cleaned windows, pitched some stuff, and even cleaned hubby's computer desk for him. Something I really need to do to my own. I've got stacks of notes and full-size papers with notes and STILL can't keep myself organized. So, what do I do?? I just ask Robin, she'll keep me straight. LOL
And did you see? My Panthers won today! WHEW HEW!! And my Mom is happy because Jeff Gordon won the Nascar race. Looks like we're both happy and that's a good thing because you know what they say..............when Momma's not happy.......NOBODY's happy!
I want to let you know that I'll be posting later for the next couple days because I have to go to my real life job. I'm an LPN and work at a nursing home/rehab facility, 12 hour shifts. I love the 12 hour shifts as it still allows me time to do what I REALLY love and of course, that's digiscrapping!! But I go to work from 7PM to 7AM, so I'll be posting as soon as I get home in the mornings for the next couple days.
I also love to work in my flower garden, read, and cook. I especially love to cook in the Fall when it's cool and crisp outside. Nothing better to warm the bones than the oven baking something yummy!! Not to mention the sweet aroma that fills the house!
Okay, I I've rambled enough for today. I need to get some sleep. I have to get up early and take Mom to the Dr. for her check-up and to see how her wound from the cat attack is healing. THEN it's my EASY AS 1,2,3, CROP at 2PM ET!! Get ALL the info for this afternoon's crop HERE in the Forum, and here's a preview of the posting bonus you can get.
And don't forget to snag today's "Barren Branches" coordinating gift HERE. Enjoy!

Happy Sunday!!
Hi everyone,
I'm excited to be your host this week. It's Autumn in the Garden and I hope everyone is enjoying the fresh and bright Fall colors at The Scrapping Garden.
I think Fall is possibly my favorite season. Of course, it marks the opening of the school year and the beginning of Football season - GO PANTHERS!!, the air is crisp and cool in the early mornings but we still have the gift of sunshine and warm weather in the afternoons. Sometimes in the evenings, you can smell the smoke from a fireplace nearby burning to take off the chill. The last of the flowers and garden show their ever-changing colors. And of course, we have pumpkins and gourds and the beautiful varied colors of the falling leaves, leaving the trees standing barren before their Winter's slumber.
We'll soon be celebrating our Fabulous Falloween Festival on October 21st through the 27th with lots of fun for everyone.
You can watch the Falloween thread HERE in the forum to see what all evolves in the way of activities during that week. Not everyone has their exact details ready yet, so keep an eye out for lots more to be posted there.
I'd like to tell you about one of my Autumn kits I have available and on sale for only $2.95 in the store this week. I've called it "Barren Branches". You can see the preview I've posted here and the kit can be found in the store HERE.
This crop IS Easy as 1,2,3. And it's even easier because if you're unable to attend the chat, you can still participate. Of course I LOVE chatting with everyone but I understand that some of us have day jobs - EYUCK! - I'd rather be digiscrapping!! Anyway, here's how it works.
1) You purchase the featured kit - in this case, the "Barren Branches" kit.
2) You post your layout using the featured kit in the "Easy as 1,2,3" Gallery HERE
no later than midnight October 15th.
3) I send you an Add-On that coordinates and is the same size as the featured kit.
How Easy is that?! And I also give away a coordinating freebie during the crop too!! Like I said, even if you're unable to attend, you'll still receive your posting bonus AND the crop freebie as long as your layout using the featured kit is posted by the deadline.
Watch the Easy as 1,2,3 Crop Forum HERE for all the information on these monthly crops.
And now for the last of my post (bet you're glad I'm winding down, eh?) and the REALLY exciting part of my post-------I'll be giving out a coordinating piece to the "Barren Branches" kit each day this week while I'm your host. So get yours HERE and remember, the link will only be good for 24 hours! Sorry, this link has expired.
I hope to see everyone at the Easy as 1,2,3 Crop Monday afternoon and until my post again tomorrow, I hope you have a Happy Sunday----oh! and don't forget to root for my Panthers today!!

I HATE Traffic!!!!!
I live in a town in Carroll County Maryland, which is North West of Baltimore. It is a little more rural out this way. There are two roads to the highway for thousands of morning commuters. So in the State’s infinite wisdom, they decide to close one of the roads to fix up the railroad crossing during the week and make a traffic nightmare. It usually takes me a half hour to get to work. Today, an hour and a half. Then, I had to go get my daughter from school in the middle of the day. And, drive back to work and the traffic home was horrible too. FOUR HOURS on the road. Arrgggggggg.
Anyways, hopefully your day was much better. My bright side is that I’m off tomorrow. Even though I have to do a few things for the office at home, it’s ok. Now, that I’m a Photoshop diva, create the ad copy for the office and get to do minor digital editing for cases we send to Invisalign.
Thanks for all the comments about how fun my office is. We do have fun and manage to get some laughs. I'll be hosting this blog again the week after Halloween so I will be able to post pictures and let you all know how the circus was at the office. So far, we will be decorating with lots of balloons; I'm bringing my mini popcorn popper that looks like one of those popcorn poppers at an amusement park; we are thinking about having cotton candy, and we are not sure of a good circus movie to show during the day. Dr. Epstein may not let us do the cotton candy. He is a dentist. I think it is ok as long as we give out tooth brushes too.
I got to watch two of my favorite shows tonight with family. I always love Survivor and Ugly Betty. We laughed out loud at Ugly Betty tonight. My eyes were watering I was laughing so hard.
Here are some of my favorite layouts from the summer. Good friends had a party for other friends that adopted a baby. It was a wonderful party that was a great way to end summer before sending the kids back to school. I used my Seeing Stars kit that is available in the store.
I just added a new link on My Blog to another piece of Shades of Autumn. Go to my blog to get the link.

It’s Thursday and the weekend will be here before we know it.
Wednesdays are typically busy days for me. I work from 10-8 and we have an office meeting in between. A couple of people were missing this week so we actually accomplished something. For Halloween, this year we are going to do a circus theme. Sharon, Miss Creative for Halloween ideas, came up with some outlandish (fun) ideas. I’ll be sure to post photos so everyone can see how crazy we are. Dr. Epstein always takes us out to lunch at the Macaroni Grill where we turn heads. Last year, we each picked a holiday to represent. Dr Epstein was Santa and I was the Pilgrim. I sewed my own hat and apron with my sewing machine that I only use for scrapping. Yes, I have a sewing machine for scrapping; just don’t ask me to hem pants.
We found a new restaurant for lunch today Cosi. It is a chain that is new in our area. Very similar to Panera but you get even more choices and can order very ala carte for salads and sandwiches. We all liked our lunches so if you have one near you it is worth a try.
Tomorrow, my girl gets back from outdoor school. It sure has been peaceful this week. The bad part is that I have to leave work at 12:30 drive ½ hour to her school to pick her up and then go back to work. Not a fun lunch hour. I better have a good lunch. Here is a layout of my girl having fun at the beach. I used my Sand and Sea kit that is on special for just $2.00 now. At the end of this month, this kit will be retired. My Section of the store.

Wednesday is Hump Day! Half way there...
Today, I got to sleep a little later since Brian had an eye doctor appointment at 9:00. At his last doctor visit he didn’t do so good on the eye test, so they wanted him to see a specialist to be sure. My boy was so well behaved at the eye doctors office, I was amazed. He has a little near-sightedness in one eye, but it is not bad enough to do anything about. I’m glad he doesn’t need glasses because he would break them or lose them weekly.
Work was a blur of the same old thing. I couldn’t talk about Heroes with the one person who watches the show because she didn’t watch the episode yet. I really love the show. I am also a Reality TV fan. Survivor, Amazing Race, Project Runway, Top Chef, Biggest Looser, Beauty & the Geek, Gordon Ramsey, Iron Chef. Love them all. Right now, 30 Rock is my favorite comedy and Ugly Betty makes me laugh and cry, mostly laugh. You may say that I watch too much TV, but I have my computers set up next to each other so that I can watch TV on one (free downloads from the networks) and design or scrap on the other. So, instead of just sitting on my butt watching TV, I am being productive and multi tasking.
As some of you have heard, my girl loves playing football. She played on 2 flag leagues and was one of the better players on the team. Last, season she was the quarterback because she has a great arm. Well, she got really mad at me this fall because I didn’t manage to get her signed up in time for the fall league. That thing filled fast and my online sign in form didn’t want to work for me for about a week.

Tuesday October 2nd
Happy Tuesday!
Well, I survived my first day back to work after vacation. The boss made me just a bit angry mostly because he is clueless about computers and thinks that all you need to do to get one working is plug it in. Lots of stupid questions in a list form that makes me angry just thinking about it. SOOOOOO, I turned it upside down and didn’t speak to him unless I needed to. Don’t say anything if you can’t say something nice, right? Other than the man, everyone else was good and not too many things needed taking care of.
Today, my girl left for 6th grade outdoor camp for 3 nights. She was pretty excited about going and running around in the mud. Her main complaint is that I wouldn’t let her bring her “girl” clothes to get filthy in. Up until July, she only wore boy’s clothes because she was self conscious about her body and she is a jock. I guess too many people that didn’t know her called her a boy this summer. She started middle school and didn’t want all the new kids to think she was a boy. I’m thinking that she didn’t want the new cute boys to think she was a boy, but what do I know. So, we shopped A LOT for girls things that are not super girly (no pink) and she wanted to take the new clothes camping. NOT. She settled on some old shorts and jogging pants with semi-girl shirts. I used my Monograms Templates and Time 4 School kit for my K layout.
My husband started a new job today with the State of Maryland working on the computer networks for the state police. He was very excited and has been trying to get in there for 2 years. While he was a contractor, he spent many hours working on the police networks and made some great contacts. I am thrilled about the benefits working for the state compared to working for a 3 man company. Now, we don’t have to pay $7000 a year for medical. Yippeee…
Brian went back to school and didn’t get in trouble today. Yeah! He is such a sweet boy but he loves to talk and make people laugh. Last year in kindergarten, he had a first year teacher and she didn’t know how to handle the boys yet. This year, he has a teacher that has a lot more experience at least enough experience to know to separate him from other kids that he gets into trouble with. I used my Monograms Templates (on sale for $7.48 for 26 templates) and Sand and Sea (On final clearance for just $2.00.
